About The Position

Support development and updates of project schedules; identify potential delays and coordinate recovery actions. This role involves assisting with cost control by tracking budgets, commitments, invoices, labor, materials, and change-order pricing. It also requires coordinating work between subcontractors, vendors, field supervisors, and design teams to resolve conflicts and keep work progressing. The position helps resolve field issues, design conflicts, constructability concerns, and unforeseen conditions. Additionally, the role involves preparing project closeout materials such as as-built drawings, operations and maintenance manuals, warranties, training records, and final turnover packages.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• Coursework or demonstrated knowledge in construction methods, construction documents, scheduling, estimating, project controls, building codes, and safety.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, and technical drawings.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Responsibilities

• Support development and updates of project schedules; identify potential delays and coordinate recovery actions.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents to understand project scope and requirements.
• Participate in owner, design, subcontractor, and internal project meetings; communicate action items and follow up on commitments.
• Coordinate submittents, shop drawings, material data, samples, and approvals with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors.
• Track procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and long-lead items.
• Conduct or support site inspections to verify work quality, code compliance, safety requirements, and alignment with approved plans.
• Support quality-control processes, including punch lists, testing, inspections, and closeout documentation.
• Promote compliance with site safety plans, environmental requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Assist with cost control by tracking budgets, commitments, invoices, labor, materials, and change-order pricing.
