About The Position

RQC, LLC. is a full-service Design-Build company with a national presence, specializing in fast-track projects in new commercial construction, particularly for the Department of Defense. We are seeking Construction Project Engineer (PE) or Sr. Project Engineer candidates to join our Field Operations team in Southern California. The PE provides support for all phases of a commercial construction project, from conceptual development to final completion, by administering, organizing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring processes. On larger projects, some project management responsibilities may be delegated based on experience. Work locations are on active military bases throughout Southern California. This role requires relocation to on-site project management.

Requirements

BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience and training.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.).
CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications.
Must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization.
Must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check for access to job sites at military bases.

Nice To Haves

Specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit).
LEED GA credential.
QCM certificate.

Responsibilities

Provide support for all assigned activities and phases of a commercial construction project from conceptual development to final completion.
Administer, organize, plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor project processes.
Perform project management responsibilities as delegated based on experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics on large projects.
Work on-site with a variety of other construction management personnel, including Project Managers, Superintendents, Quality Control Managers, and Site Safety and Health Officers.
