About The Position

BluSky Restoration is seeking a Construction Project Director responsible for estimating, closing sales, and managing restoration projects. This role involves working closely with property owners and managers of various commercial and residential properties damaged by disasters to develop cost estimates for restoration, renovation, environmental, and roofing services. The Project Director acts as the central point of contact, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget through completion. Requirements

  • 5+ years of Recent marketing/business development and sales experience in the restoration or construction industry with a proven track record of sales growth.
  • Extensive Construction estimating and/or large loss and catastrophe experience.
  • Must be able to attend Business Development networking functions 2-3 evenings a week.
  • Intermediate-level Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong knowledge of project management, financial processes, and administration required.
  • Strong business ethics, integrity, and the ability to perform in highly autonomous environments required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience utilizing Xactimate and other estimating software preferred.
  • Experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or 30, CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience related to the role is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Estimating, closing the sale of, and managing restoration projects.
  • Developing cost estimates for restoration, renovation, environmental, and roofing services.
  • Ensuring that budgets and projects are on track through completion.
  • Meeting or exceeding monthly and yearly sales goals.
  • Negotiating and executing contracts on behalf of the company.
  • Selling all services that BluSky offers.
  • Converting opportunities into sales.
  • Tracking and measuring sales and sales opportunities in the CRM and Tracking Sheets.
  • Overseeing and expediting revenue production in accordance with monthly goals.
  • Working with all members of the project team to ensure timeliness of deposit, progress, and final billings.
  • Providing oversight and direction to the Project Manager in production of revenue.
  • Reviewing and collaborating with the Project Team on Project schedules.
  • Developing and taking ownership of the project budget in compliance with vertical target margins.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of the budget and modifying it during the course of the project, if conditions warrant.
  • Seeking to improve project profitability by judicious use of vendors, in-house labor, and material suppliers.
  • Supervising and monitoring project costs to ensure margin integrity.
  • Having intentional conversations at the beginning of each project outlining the AR process and setting expectations with the customer for collections.
  • Reviewing and understanding specific programs for invoicing, payment terms, conditions, and process.
  • Performing weekly collection calls on all accounts.
  • Conducting weekly reviews for A/R Aging to proactively manage accounts, monitor lien rights, and follow through on assignments.
  • Maintaining DSO (Days Sale Outstanding) at or below 75 days.
  • Working directly with clients & claims handling teams to close leads.
  • Maintaining robust communication with clients to steer direction toward closing.
  • Documenting communication and curating all files in the BluSky CRM systems.
  • Scheduling and attending two business development meetings a week with clients, adjusters, building consultants, etc.
  • Participating in various special events to market BluSky - luncheons, trade shows, award dinners, etc.
  • Entertaining clients as necessary to drive business and close sales.
  • Partnering with business development and Vice President in pursuit of all sales.
  • Accurate sketching of affected areas and use of Matterport technology.
  • Utilizing Time and Material (T&M) / Xactimate knowledge to explain T&M bill files and justify Xactimate line items.
  • Estimating a project to fit all target margins per the service provided.
  • Consistent weekly communication with all stakeholders (external and internal).
  • Setting expectations upfront with the customer.
  • Holding teams accountable to provide updates.
  • Checking in with the customer throughout the project.
  • Ensuring email communication includes all stakeholders on the thread.
  • Coordinating with the Mitigation team to get work authorization signed for timely response.
  • Walking the job with the technician team to define the scope of work.
  • Sharing client feedback/changes in scope with the Mitigation team.
  • Reviewing daily T&M sheets with the Mitigation operations team.
  • Working directly with the Mitigation operations team.
  • Conducting site visits at completion to confirm all work is completed per client expectations.
  • Conducting Project Kick Offs confirming scope of work and target budget/margin with Reconstruction team.
  • Maintaining constant communication with the Project Manager (PM) throughout the course of the project.
  • Working with the PM to get timely change orders submitted for approval.
  • Working with the PM to send weekly updates.
  • Communicating with the Business Development Manager (BD) about new opportunities to get them into Salesforce timely.
  • Keeping the BD on all email communication with the mutual client.
  • Updating the BD on all changes to the project timely.
  • Helping the BD update the NTO list that you are both working.
  • Overseeing completed work authorizations so the Project Accountant (PA) can get the job into Vista.
  • Working with the PA to send out invoices.
  • Working with the PA to upload change orders.
