The Construction Project Development Manager will plan and coordinate the execution of pre-construction activities for new schools and modernization projects. This role is responsible for the scope, schedule, budget, and overall success of multiple school projects. The manager will resolve complex planning, design, and construction issues, and will develop, assign, and monitor the performance of Assistant Facility Development Managers, Design Managers, and Design professionals. Reporting on project budget, schedule, and issues to departmental, branch, and board representatives is a key function. The role involves reviewing project progress through all development phases, coordinating with utility and government agencies, assisting with A/E contracts and bid planning, and performing fiscal management of multiple projects. The manager will also provide functional direction over project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality control. Coordination with various District organizational branches and departments, as well as the development and recommendation of internal policies and procedures, are also part of the responsibilities. This is an on-site position requiring commute to the Los Angeles, CA office and necessary site visits.
