Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. Bechtel will design and build Phase 1 of the Ohio One project, a total of 2.5 million square feet, including 600,000 square feet of cleanrooms. Construction will require as much steel as eight Eiffel Towers and as much concrete as the tallest skyscrapers. Bechtel will strengthen future economic development in the region by partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. The Construction People Based Quality (PBQ) Site Lead will report to the Lead Quality Control Engineer (LQCE) and will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the implementation of the People Based Quality program for Project Cardinal. This role will help sustain and mature the PBQ program by supporting craft to craft observations, action items, training and development of the craft PBQ Volunteer members. Candidate will evaluate metrics and perform observation dashboard maintenance along with tracking progress of PBQ focus areas, trending items, and areas of improvement. The PBQ Site Lead will facilitate quality onboarding of craft, weekly meetings with the PBQ members, and support the escalation of inspections on site with pre-inspections by full-time craft members, volunteers, or personally to increase the first-time pass rate of inspections. Communicate results of key metrics and takeaways from the craft quality program in regular internal and external meetings with the client. This position will work with project and functional teams to promote “Right the First Time” quality, support PBQ observations and improvement activities, assist with apparent cause evaluations, trending and root cause analysis. #LI-CL1
