About The Position

Verde is seeking a Construction Operations Manager to lead day-to-day service execution across assigned construction project sites. This role involves managing resources, priorities, service standards, team performance, and customer relationships while adapting to changing jobsite conditions and schedules. Safety is a foundational aspect of this position, emphasizing the well-being of the team and adherence to strict safety protocols.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of progressive operations experience, preferably in janitorial, facilities, or service industries.
  • 1+ year of experience working on active construction sites.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience managing direct reports.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification required, or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
  • Working knowledge of construction safety requirements, including PPE, hazard communication, and general contractor site rules.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite-Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish required, including reading, writing, and speaking.

Responsibilities

  • Set the safety standard on every jobsite.
  • Lead Stretch and Flex at the start of every shift and ensure full participation.
  • Ensure required PPE is worn at all times, including hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, gloves, and safety-toe boots, plus task-specific PPE required by the general contractor.
  • Reinforce Stop Work Authority.
  • Complete pre-task planning and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and review changing site conditions daily.
  • Identify and mitigate hazards and risks; conduct safety inspections and risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses with timely documentation and follow-up.
  • Ensure completion of general contractor site orientation and compliance with site-specific safety requirements.
  • Partner with the EHS Director and general contractor safety leads on toolbox talks, safety meetings, and audits.
  • Promote safety training, awareness, and accountability.
  • Maintain working knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in janitorial and construction cleaning.
  • Promote environmentally responsible cleaning practices.
  • Educate employees and stakeholders on sustainability.
  • Partner with vendors on eco-friendly products and services.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
  • Maintain knowledge of green cleaning standards, products, and methods.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
  • Encourage team participation in community and volunteer initiatives.

  • Monitor service quality against the scope of work, site-readiness expectations, and company standards.
  • Document scope changes and extra work through the Extra Work Authorization (EWA) process before work is performed.
  • Support employee engagement through recognition and teamwork.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
