Kleinfelder, a long-standing industry leader in Texas, is looking for a Construction Materials Testing Technician II to join our Austin, TX office. We're looking for individuals with strong initiative, who will perform construction observation and materials testing on various projects to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. Requirements

  • 1-3 years minimum of construction materials testing or inspection experience.
  • Valid ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1 Certification
  • Valid Radiation Safety training certification for the operation of a nuclear density gauge.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record.
  • Able to use a company-provided laptop or tablet with working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • A good work ethic and high level of personal integrity.
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds (22.68 kg) repetitively and over 50 pounds (22.68 kg) using handling equipment (hand truck, etc.).
  • Operate heavy equipment as necessary (i.e., ultrasonic non-destructive testing machine, concrete cylinder press, etc.).
  • Maintain safe mobility over construction obstacles by foot and ladder, traversing over rough broken ground and steep surfaces.
  • Work outside in variable weather at field sites and in labs with various levels of safety protection required.
  • Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.
