About The Position

Braun Intertec is seeking experienced Construction Materials Testing Technicians to join our Bloomington, MN and/or White Bear Lake, MN offices. This role involves performing and reporting on testing, observations, and inspections of construction materials such as soils, concrete, concrete reinforcement, masonry, and asphalt on various commercial and transportation construction projects throughout the twin cities and surrounding areas. The technician will communicate effectively with project personnel, clients, and contractors regarding construction activities, project requirements, and testing results. Responsibilities include transporting samples to the laboratory, preparing electronic daily test and observation reports, and receiving in-depth technical training and industry certifications. This is an excellent career opportunity with ample potential for advancement and growth within a fast-paced team and a steady backlog of projects. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and be able to lift 50 to 75 pounds.

Requirements

• A High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of construction materials testing experience
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification
• A strong safety focus and attention to detail
• A valid driver’s license and a good driving history required

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• MnDOT or ICC certifications a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt
• Provide clear documentation of field activities entered daily in electronic format
• Work with project team and lead technicians to ensure project specifications are followed
• Assist with training & mentoring of junior staff, as needed
