As a Construction Materials Project Manager, you will take a leading role in managing project responsibilities across scoping, execution, technical documentation, and mentorship of junior staff. Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management, or a construction-related field
Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction materials testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt, including progressive Project Management responsibilities
Active Construction Materials industry certifications such as: American Concrete Institute (ACI): Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician, and/or International Code Council (ICC): Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils)
Engineer in Training (EIT) and on track to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) or already have a Professional Engineer (PE)
Basic math and communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language
Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing (potentially up to 12 hours a day)
Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
Working outside of normal business hours and traveling (typically out-of-town and/or overnight) as project needs arise
Candidates must comply with our Fleet Management, Substance Policy, and Reference Check requirements.

Responsibilities

Testing construction materials: Perform tests and oversee special inspections of materials such as soil, concrete, asphalt, and others to ensure they meet project specifications and industry standards.
Analyzing construction plans and specifications: Review project documents to accurately schedule testing and inspection services to meet project requirements.
Recording and managing field activities: Document detailed observations and test results during project execution, using Metafield® or other management systems daily for efficient data handling and coordination.
Preparing reports and proposals: Draft reports and proposals for materials testing and special inspection projects, ensuring thorough and accurate assessments and documentation.
Communicating daily: Interact with management, contractors, and clients to maintain project transparency and provide regular updates on progress.
