We have a full-time opportunity for an experienced Construction Materials Project Manager. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing construction materials projects or related roles.
  • Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications, required.
  • Experience performing ICC Special Investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials testing methods, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Small to large, complex construction and/or heavy highway projects experience.
  • Proven experience with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and OneDrive is required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A valid drivers license with a clean driving history is required.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, is required.

Nice To Haves

  • NICET (Level II is preferred)
  • EIT or PE is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Work with project designers and clients to ensure that client specifications are followed.
  • Perform routine to complex inspections and testing of construction materials in the field.
  • Review daily reports on observation activities and test data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Track project budgets and prepare invoices.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality materials that meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare proposals and deliver to client.
  • Manage schedules, budgets, and resources related to material acquisition and testing activities.
  • Oversee quality control processes, including laboratory testing and field inspections, to ensure material compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and contractors to address material-related challenges and optimize project outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and industry standards throughout the material management lifecycle.
  • Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
