About The Role: As a Construction Materials Field Supervisor, you will oversee a dedicated team of construction materials testing professionals, managing daily operations across multiple project sites. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring project success through top-notch testing services, fostering strong client relationships, and enhancing operational efficiency. You will balance team management with personal project contributions, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. Your leadership will be key in client coordination, managing multiple projects concurrently, and upholding the highest safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction materials testing/inspecting of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) in the English language

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical engineering or a construction-related field
  • Active Construction Materials industry certifications such as: American Concrete Institute (ACI): Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician and/or International Code Council (ICC): Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils)

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and oversight to field staff, organize schedules with clients and contractors, and manage personnel for field assignments.
  • Frequently coordinate with Services Managers and Project Managers on the progress of current and upcoming projects.
  • Train staff on field testing and inspections, oversee certification opportunities, and maintain a summary of current employee certifications.
  • Lead safety efforts for field staff, conduct regular safety meetings, and coach staff on PPE use and safety protocols.
  • Ensure staff has appropriate testing equipment, assist with equipment maintenance and calibration, and support the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
