This is a temporary full time position expected to last until the next fiscal year. The ideal candidate for this position will have any combination of having a degree from an accredited construction management program and five years of construction experience or have eight or more years of experience managing construction projects with an emphasis in Public Works and capital improvement projects including facilities, water resource, transportation and/or infrastructure projects. Have expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards. Have experience overseeing onsite and offsite construction to monitor for compliance with building and safety regulations. They will have least one year experience in a government environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent document, time and project management skills and have experience working on a project team with project owners, project managers, design consultants, contractors, and public agency inspectors (federal, state, county, city) with a proven track record of identifying, managing, and mitigating risks associated with construction projects.
