The Construction Manager (CM) will be responsible for refurbishing the existing structure of the Fulton-Gibbs complex at the U.S. Merchant Marines Academy to meet anticipated minimum operating capability for the next seven to ten years. This includes roof replacement, asbestos abatement, flooring installation, lighting upgrades, emergency shower updates, fume hood upgrades, facility painting, window repairs, and installing exhaust systems in welding and diesel labs. The CM will host weekly project progress meetings, prepare and distribute agendas, and provide meeting minutes within three calendar days. The USMMA is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, so all work must be consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. Plans for alterations affecting historic property will require consultation with the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO).
