About The Position

Exp Federal is seeking a Construction Manager for an onsite position in Bern, Switzerland, for a 20-month contract. This role supports the U.S. Department of State, OBO, and is part of an established full-service architectural and engineering firm that provides design solutions and construction support to federal government agencies globally, often in challenging environments.

Requirements

Construction Management Degree from an accredited university
7+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry
Must be able to obtain an Interim TS or Final TS security clearance before deployment

Nice To Haves

ME, EE, Architecture or FCE degrees will increase the caliber of the submission.

Responsibilities

Review and implement drawings and specifications.
Develop and implement QC plans, safety plans, and schedules.
Apply the principles of UFGS 01 45 00.00 (Quality Control) and EM 385-1-1.
Provide input to finalize the project plan and make adjustments for unforeseen events.
Maintain a tracking log of deficiencies during construction, develop a final punch list, and oversee its completion.
Lead preparatory, initial, and final meetings to set QC standards.
Lead weekly safety briefings and ensure work complies with AHAs in the safety plan.
Complete daily reports on work progress and conduct weekly teleconferences with the Project Manager on quality, safety, and schedule.
Develop dig permits, outage plans, etc., as needed to schedule work with end-users.
Oversee all onsite and offsite work to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
