About The Position

Grainda Builders is a respected custom building company specializing in high-end residential homes, renovations, and select commercial projects. The team is known for exceptional craftsmanship, client collaboration, and delivering homes that reflect each client's vision with care and precision. Grainda Builders is hiring an Assistant Construction Manager to oversee high-end residential and commercial projects from pre-construction through final completion. This person will take ownership of assigned projects, manage schedules and budgets, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, and ensure each project meets the company's quality standards. The ideal candidate is a confident, grounded leader who communicates clearly, solves problems quickly, and holds teams accountable with professionalism and respect. This role requires strong judgment, urgency, integrity, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts without losing sight of quality or client experience.

Requirements

  • Proven construction management experience, preferably in high-end residential construction
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, sequencing, and best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, schedules, budgets, and client expectations
  • Proficiency with construction project management software such as Buildertrend or similar platforms
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Sound judgment and ability to make timely decisions in high-stakes situations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ownership mindset
  • Professional, accountable, and confident leadership style

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage construction projects from pre-construction through completion
  • Take full ownership of project outcomes, schedules, budgets, and team performance
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and on-site personnel
  • Ensure work meets safety requirements, building codes, and quality standards
  • Identify issues early and implement practical solutions to keep projects on track
  • Communicate consistently with clients, architects, designers, and stakeholders
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality
  • Maintain professionalism, accountability, and high standards on every job site
  • Manage multiple projects while balancing deadlines, details, and client expectations
