About The Position

The Construction Manager will be responsible for all construction activities related to stations and ensuring Project Co's compliance with all applicable construction activities for the stations under this Agreement, including any Early Works Infrastructure. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating the construction interface from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget. The position also requires leading and managing the pre-construction phase using various methodologies, overseeing deliverables, reviewing documentation, and supporting cost estimating and value engineering activities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Project Management is required
  • 7+ years’ experience in construction management on large infrastructure projects, including demonstrable experience in underground railway.
  • Experience in the construction of deep excavation stations.
  • Knowledge of project management tools like Microsoft Project
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • English written and spoken is required

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all Construction Activities related to the stations and for ensuring Project Co’s compliance with respect to all Construction Activities applicable to the stations under this Agreement, inclusive of any Early Works Infrastructure.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the construction interface from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates.
  • Lead and manage pre-construction phase using design-build, construction management, or stipulated price methodologies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely response of project team for value engineering, schedule development, risk management analysis, constructability reviews and other deliverables.
  • Oversee pre-construction deliverables from project introduction through the construction document completion.
  • Review documentation including specifications and drawings for quality, content, and constructability.
  • Provide recommendations to the owner and consultant team on clarity, consistency, constructability, and coordination of the documentation.
  • Actively support and participate in cost estimating activities, assist with construction budgets for projects and provide input on Value Engineering.
  • Assist with preparation of Division 01 General Requirements documents and make recommendation for project-specific considerations.
  • Visit site to review options for renovation projects and assist with preparation of feasibility studies.
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules.
