What we are looking for: We are seeking an experienced construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced public agency environment and enjoys taking ownership of projects from pre-construction through final closeout. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience managing public infrastructure projects, coordinating with contractors and consultants, reviewing construction documentation, resolving field issues, and serving as an owner's representative during construction. This position is particularly well-suited for candidates with backgrounds in construction management, resident engineering, public works construction, capital improvement programs, and municipal infrastructure delivery. Experience working with contractors, utility providers, consultants, and regulatory agencies throughout the construction process is highly desirable. The team you'll be leading: The Construction Engineering Division plays a critical role in delivering the City's capital improvement program and supporting construction activities associated with private development projects. As Construction Manager, you will oversee construction inspection and project delivery efforts while serving as a key liaison between the City, contractors, consultants, utility providers, and project stakeholders. You will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved plans, specifications, permits, and City standards.
