About The Position

SLB New Energy & Industrial (NEI) is a division of SLB, focusing on ventures in carbon capture and sequestration, geothermal power, energy storage, sustainable battery-grade lithium, hydrogen, and Data center infrastructure solutions. Our Data Center infrastructure solutions business provides innovative and cost-effective solutions for building faster, smarter, and more resilient data centers. These modular infrastructure solutions scale AI and cloud computing capacity while minimizing capital risk and deployment delays. The role of Construction Manager is to lead construction execution within an assigned area or scope on Data Center projects, ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-schedule delivery. The Construction Manager acts as SLB’s lead representative, providing direction to contractors, monitoring progress, and resolving issues in real-time. This position requires presence on construction sites and may involve domestic relocation. Relocation assistance is available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management. Equivalent progressive site-based construction experience in supervisory or management roles will be considered.
  • 20 years of construction experience with significant site leadership responsibility on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven capability managing multiple subcontractors and high-volume work fronts concurrently.
  • Strong understanding of field execution, sequencing, and construction coordination across disciplines.
  • Demonstrated record of safe, high-quality, on-time delivery in complex, fast-track environments.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Data Center or mission-critical facility construction is highly preferred.
  • Professional certification in Construction Management or Site Supervision is preferred.
  • Formal training in Advanced HSE or Quality Leadership is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day construction execution within assigned areas or disciplines, ensuring alignment with project plans and milestones.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to verify progress, safety, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and HSE teams to address technical queries and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and coordination sessions with contractors to reinforce expectations and resolve issues.
  • Validate progress claims, manpower levels, and productivity against the approved schedule and plan.
  • Provide accurate input for weekly and monthly progress reports, including forecasts and recovery actions where needed.
  • Support interface management by ensuring smooth coordination between contractors and disciplines working in adjacent areas.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with contractor supervisors and client field representatives.
  • Ensure all construction activities are completed on time, coordinating with Client, procurement, and commissioning.
