About The Position

Schumacher Homes is an award-winning on-your-lot custom homebuilder focused on providing a strong customer experience. The Construction Manager supports the Ravenna, Ohio territory and works with customers to build their homes, schedule trades, and ensure construction meets quality, timing, cost, and homeowner satisfaction standards. The role requires an understanding of residential construction systems and includes participating in pre-construction meetings with the General Manager, Customer Coordinators, and homeowners. The company offers a 36-hour work week to support work/life balance.

Requirements

• Proficiency in understanding residential construction systems.
• Technical construction knowledge sufficient to understand construction processes and terminology and assist in managing field personnel and systems.
• Ability to use technology, including a smartphone and iPad.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.

Nice To Haves

• Prior scattered-site residential construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to build their dream homes.
• Schedule trades and coordinate construction activities.
• Ensure homes are built with attention to quality, meet building time expectations, and exceed homeowner satisfaction.
• Build assigned homes within time, cost, quality, and satisfaction standards.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings with the General Manager, Customer Coordinators, and homeowners.
• Assist in managing field personnel and systems using technical construction knowledge.
