Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma
  • 5+ years of general construction experience
  • Ability to travel 90% of the time
  • Valid drivers license required
  • Must successfully complete background check and drug screening
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in highway or railroad construction
  • Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, HeadLight, etc.)
  • Construction Management or Civil Engineering Degree

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and oversee construction work to ensure that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications
  • Perform quality control inspection and documentation on railroad projects
  • Material testing oversight
  • Construction cost tracking and estimates
  • Coordinate between construction project stakeholders
  • Research plans, specification, material testing procedures and local agency requirements
  • Prepare and maintain daily and periodic documentation and records throughout the project
  • Visits to project sites to inspect and document field work performed
  • Preparation of technical reports
  • Provide observation and inspection of the construction work and contractor operations
  • Maintains the daily log of construction and inspection activities and compares progress reports
  • Maintains construction safety practices and work methods for compliance
