The Jefferson County Transportation & Engineering Division is seeking a Construction Manager or Associate Civil Engineer to join their Capital Improvements Program (CIP) group. This role involves performing engineering activities and construction management for CIP projects, including roadway, bridge, stormwater drainage, and traffic operations. Responsibilities include inspecting construction work, documenting observations, assisting with project direction and correspondence, tracking quantities for contractor pay applications, reviewing project plans and specifications, and responding to citizen concerns. The Associate Civil Engineer role also includes tracking project budgets, preparing pay estimates, performing entry-level technical engineering analysis and calculations, and reviewing contractor project schedules.
