About The Position

This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Construction Manager /Inspector for our Glastonbury, CT office. Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. Your Impact Provide construction management inspection for multi-trade contracts to ensure the project is constructed in conformance with the contract requirements. Ensuring that timely decisions are made to keep projects on schedule and within budgeted costs while meeting clients' needs. Perform inspections, prepare construction reports and expedite the execution of contracts and supervise inspectors. Maintain a written daily log of project progress, actions performed, contractor's workforce, materials approvals and deliveries and issues on the job site. Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, conduct meetings and communicate with team members in various roles as necessary. Monitor contractor safety operations and coordinate with Regional Safety Manager as needed. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum BS in Construction Management/Civil Engineering/Civil Engineering Technology
  • Minimum of (3) years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects, including supervision
  • Strong communications skills and collaborative approach working with both client and construction contractor/subcontractors
  • Strong interpersonal leadership skills
  • OSHA - 30
