About The Position

The Construction Manager I will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. The Construction Manager I will work closely with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in construction management who are looking to gain hands-on experience in the field.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or related field, with exposure to construction project management practices and processes.
  • Basic understanding of construction methods, techniques, and terminology.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project management and engineering teams.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, including subcontractor work, material deliveries, and equipment installations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices throughout the construction process.
  • Monitor work progress and productivity to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to verify workmanship, materials, and finished products meet project requirements and specifications.
  • Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and deviations from standards and ensure timely resolution of any deficiencies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily progress reports, inspection records, and change orders.
  • Prepare and distribute reports to project management and stakeholders to provide updates on project status, milestones, and issues.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors regarding construction activities, schedules, and requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with project management and other stakeholders to address project issues, concerns, and changes in a timely manner.
