About The Position

Lead the Site Characterization and Geotechnical Programs Behind Critical Infrastructure Every successful infrastructure project begins with a thorough understanding of site conditions. From geotechnical investigations and subsurface characterization to materials testing and construction validation, reliable site data is critical to reducing risk and supporting informed engineering and construction decisions. At Michels Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. (MIS), we partner with customers, engineering firms, testing laboratories, and construction teams to deliver some of North America's most complex mission-critical, hyperscale, and infrastructure projects. As the General Contractor and EPC delivery arm of the Michels Family of Companies, MIS combines technical expertise with construction excellence to safely execute projects that power technology, connectivity, and economic growth. Position Overview As a Construction Manager, you will lead geotechnical investigation, site characterization, and construction materials testing activities for large-scale data center and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with engineering consultants, geotechnical firms, testing providers, construction teams, and project stakeholders to ensure subsurface conditions, earthwork operations, and material performance requirements are properly understood and validated throughout project delivery. This role serves as a key connection between engineering and construction, helping teams identify project risks, evaluate site conditions, and develop practical solutions that support successful project outcomes. Success requires strong technical knowledge, organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
