About The Position

Hill International is seeking a Construction Manager with Aviation experience in Miami, Florida. This is an onsite position at Miami Airport.

Requirements

  • 10 years of construction experience with aviation projects
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or another related technical field required
  • Must possess and maintain excellent client relationships
  • Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite Word and Excel software programs
  • Must be knowledgeable and experienced with the principles of effective communication and supervision
  • Must be self-motivated and have strong interpersonal skills
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be local to Miami or willing to relocate.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Relevant Professional Licensure &/or Certifications are strongly preferred
  • Certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc.
  • Has demonstratable specialized experience/area of expertise

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Client in all aspects of required field and office construction engineering work
  • Prepare PM/CM plans to include change management plan, invoicing procedures, budget and schedule monitoring processes, quality assurance plan, safety oversight, and project-specific procedures including communication/coordination plans for the project
  • Manage and administer construction contracts
  • Manage preconstruction planning activities and meetings with all stakeholders
  • Review and comment on the Contractor’s construction schedule(s) and work plan(s)
  • Provide design-support-during construction
  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of FAA requirements
  • Change order processing
  • RFI (request for information) response(s)
  • Prepare monthly consultant invoices
  • Conduct construction progress meetings and project team meetings
  • Coordinate agreements with and work of sub-consultants and services
  • Maintain on-going contact with the Client
  • Develop the Scope of Work (SOW) for upcoming projects
  • Coordinate work windows with the operating group and contractor to maximize productivity
