Construction Management Specialist
About The Position
The Department of Environmental Services (DES), Development Services Bureau, is seeking a Construction Management Specialist to join its team of professionals. This role will perform construction management work for the Transportation and Development Division. Responsibilities include the inspection and enforcement of construction activities in the County public right-of-way or public easements, and the inspection of public infrastructure within the public right-of-way. The Development Services Bureau regulates and oversees various public and private sector development activities, including the review of site civil design plans, land disturbing activity permits, subdivision plats, easement plats, and public improvement bonds. It also involves the inspection of public infrastructure built by developers, inspection and enforcement of erosion and sediment controls, regulating storm water management activities on construction sites, and processing special exception development projects for approval by the County Board.
