About The Position

Keiser University's Jacksonville campus is seeking a qualified, industry-experienced professional to join our faculty in the Bachelor of Science in Applied Construction Management program. This is an opportunity to bring real-world construction leadership into the classroom and help prepare students for careers across residential, commercial, industrial, and civil construction. We are looking for a construction professional who can connect the realities of the field with career-focused education: how projects are planned, estimated, scheduled, contracted, built, documented, managed, and delivered safely. The right candidate will enjoy developing future construction managers and sharing the lessons that only industry experience can provide. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field
  • Minimum of three years of professional construction industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of construction operations, project management, and safety practices
  • Commitment to student success and high-quality instruction

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP), Certificate of Management - Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM), Certified Associate Constructor (CAC/AC), or similar industry credentials
  • Experience teaching at the college level
  • Familiarity with construction management software and digital tools
  • Experience with tools or workflows such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, estimating platforms, BIM/VDC, or comparable industry systems
  • Experience in one or more areas such as preconstruction, estimating, project controls, field operations, safety, contracts, scheduling, BIM/VDC, or project management

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate courses in construction management using applied, hands‑on instructional methods
  • Develop and update course materials to align with industry standards and program outcomes
  • Support student learning through mentorship, academic guidance, and timely feedback
  • Incorporate real‑world applications, case studies, and project‑based learning
  • Participate in program assessment and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Engage with industry partners to enhance experiential learning opportunities
  • Support connections with construction employers, professionals, guest speakers, and community partners that strengthen student career readiness
  • Help students understand the expectations, professionalism, and accountability required to succeed in construction management roles
