About The Position

This position is responsible for a wide range of construction and maintenance tasks within Boiling Springs State Park. The technician will perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural components. This role also involves operating and maintaining various construction equipment and performing general building and grounds maintenance.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have at least two (2) years’ experience in one or more building trades or an equivalent of education and experience.
Must be able to perform tasks that involve regular bending, stooping, squatting, walking and lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including prolonged exposure to heat, humidity, sun, and wind.
Some locations will require a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Installs, replaces, alters, maintains, and repairs plumbing fixtures and associated lines.
Performs construction and renovation of buildings and structures, including erecting scaffolds, fences, and altering/repairing doors, floors, windows, and roofs.
Maintains and repairs electrical fixtures, generators, motors, and performs minor electrical repairs not requiring a license.
Maintains and makes minor repairs to heating, refrigeration, and air-conditioning equipment.
Installs and maintains locks and security devices, cuts keys, and modifies lock combinations.
Constructs, maintains, and repairs concrete foundations, retaining walls, chimneys, and similar projects using various masonry materials.
Operates, maintains, and repairs construction and maintenance equipment such as trucks, tractors, bulldozers, cranes, forklifts, mowers, and edgers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
