About The Position
The Construction Laborer supports Carver Companies’ civil construction operations by performing a variety of physical tasks on active job sites. This role assists with the construction of roads, utilities, site development, and other infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, outdoor work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
- Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in construction or a related field.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with GPS or laser-guided equipment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties, including digging, grading, lifting, and material handling.
- Operate hand and power tools such as shovels, jackhammers, compactors, and saws.
- Assist equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled trades as needed.
- Load and unload construction materials, equipment, and tools.
- Set up and maintain traffic control and job site safety barriers.
- Prepare and maintain job sites, including clearing debris and minimizing hazards.
- Follow direction from supervisors and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support project completion.
