About The Position

Skillforce is hiring a construction laborer to assist the carpenters on an active campus in Blacksburg, VA. This is hands-on site work, moving material, cleanup, and helping the crew keep the job moving each day.

Requirements

• Must have steel-toed boots, gloves, and glasses
• Reliable transportation and driver's license
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stay on your feet
• Comfortable working on an active construction site
• Must pass a pre-employment background check

Responsibilities

• Assist the carpenters with hands-on site work
• Move and stage material, lumber, and hand tools
• Load and haul debris and keep the whole site clear
• Basic measuring, cutting, and layout support
• Keep all work areas clean, safe, and organized
