About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Construction Engineering Intern to be based in Lansing, Michigan. This position is expected to begin in Summer 2026. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks. Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff. Meets required schedules while producing quality work. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study. Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or similar field.
  • Candidates must have completed at least three years of study.
  • Those who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and who plan to continue their studies in the future are also eligible to apply for this position.
  • Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the last school term and have an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
  • All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.
