As a Construction Intern with Spence Brothers, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of construction and engineering. Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field
• Familiarity with construction practices and project management concepts
• Strong academic record with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Strong interest in construction, engineering, and infrastructure projects
• Conscientious self-starter with good organizational skills, project management skills and attention to detail
• Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities, must be able to multi-task
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams
• Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability and willingness to learn
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents and Estimators to ensure that a full range of construction activities are completed successfully and efficiently.
• Assist Superintendents, Project Managers, Engineers, and Coordinators with project-related technical and logistical functions, including subcontractor and supplier planning/administration, and work assignments.
• Assist in the coordination of on-site construction and engineering activities for construction projects.
• Interpret design/drawings, specifications, submittals, and other construction documents.
• Interface with on-site departments as required to resolve problems, ensure quality of construction, etc. in support of overall project schedule.
