About The Position

NRP's Construction Internship Opportunities offer hands-on experience in various roles within multifamily development. Interns can choose to focus on Field Engineering, Estimating, or Construction Office support. The program provides exposure to different project phases, from pre-construction to completion, and aims to develop an understanding of construction processes, project coordination, and quality control. Interns will work on active construction sites or in an office setting, supporting project managers and superintendents. The program includes structured professional development, mentorship, networking opportunities with team members and senior leadership, and community involvement. Field Engineer Interns gain experience on active multifamily construction sites, learning about large-scale apartment community construction from the ground up. They are exposed to multiple project phases and support daily construction activities, inspect work for quality, review project documents, and document progress. Construction Estimating Interns focus on the pre-construction phase, supporting the estimating team in analyzing project plans, developing cost estimates, and determining efficient construction methods. This role involves reviewing plans, estimating costs, preparing bid packages, and analyzing subcontractor bids. Construction Office Interns support project administration, documentation, and construction activities throughout multifamily development. They work closely with project managers and superintendents, assisting with project records, coordinating submittals, RFIs, schedules, and inspections, and helping with quality control, site safety, and subcontractor coordination.
