The Construction Inspector serves as a technical representative responsible for evaluating construction sites by reviewing and interpreting plans and specifications, monitoring materials and workmanship, and ensuring all safety requirements are met in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. This role supports both internal and external customers by assisting with studies, plans, and analytical efforts, participating in research activities, and occasionally presenting recommended approaches to address customer needs. The position also contributes to the development, programming, and maintenance of project plans involving new construction, renovations, and infrastructure improvements. While no specialized engineering or architectural degree is required, candidates with construction safety certifications such as OSHA's 30‑hour program are preferred. Prior experience inspecting high‑security or large‑scale projects, such as SCIF facilities, military dormitories, or construction efforts exceeding $10M, is considered highly valuable.
