About The Position

Whitestone Associates, Inc., a 100% employee-owned consulting firm providing environmental, geotechnical, and construction inspection services throughout the eastern United States, is currently recruiting for a Construction Inspector . This is a tremendous opportunity for experienced candidates to join and contribute to the growth of a 100% employee-owned, engineering firm. Salary commensurate with experience. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Construction Inspector with 3+ years of experience to join our team. This position involves construction phase testing and inspection of foundation construction; earthwork; soil placement and compaction; concrete; reinforcing steel; and various other construction materials and operations. Location: Tampa, FL

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in field construction inspection and testing
• Nuclear Density Gauge Operator certification
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1
• Prior experience with geotechnical and/or environmental field investigation highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of construction materials (soils, concrete, asphalt, and steel)
• Communicate with project managers and sub-contractors regarding inspection, observation, and testing results
• Transportation of sample materials for laboratory analysis
• Preparation of field data and technical reports
• Travel to various construction sites to perform inspections
