About The Position

Kleinfelder's Construction Services team is looking for a Construction Inspector to join their team. This position can be based out of Augusta, ME, Portland, ME or Manchester, NH. The ideal candidate will perform construction inspection tasks to ensure compliance with standard codes and ordinances, zoning regulations, as well as contract plans and specifications. Inspections may be general in nature or limited to a specific area, such as Transportation infrastructure, Roads, Bridges and ancillary transportation facilities. Under limited supervision from a Supervisor/Manager, the candidate will work within specific guidelines and protocols on moderately complex assignments.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
1 - 5 years of experience in the field or in trade-related training in a Design, Construction Inspection, or other Construction related field.
Satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school preferred with coursework in transportation related courses, Building Inspection, Home Inspection, Construction Technology, Drafting and Mathematics.
ACI concrete certified
NETTCP paving certified
PCI certified
NACE level certification

Responsibilities

Follows and adheres to all federal and state regulations, client requirements and contracts, and company policies and procedures including but not limited to taxes, labor laws, safety, building codes, or environmental regulations.
Inspects and monitors construction sites and the various work activities on these sites to ensure adherence to standards, codes and specifications; takes action according to findings.
