We’re currently looking for a Construction Inspector (Resident Observer) to join our growing team in our Pittsburgh office. Requirements

At least 3 years of construction inspection or observation experience, ideally on water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects.
Can read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents with confidence.
Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and in person, with a variety of stakeholders.
Comfortable working independently in the field but also collaborating effectively with project teams.
Detail-oriented and take pride in ensuring work is completed correctly and to a high standard.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Dependable, organized, and able to manage responsibilities across active job sites.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site inspections to ensure construction work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and contract documents.
Monitor construction activities on water and wastewater infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance.
Document daily operations, installed quantities, and field measurements through clear and detailed reporting.
Serve as a key point of contact in the field, regularly interacting with contractors, property owners, clients, and engineers.
Attend and participate in project meetings, including pre-construction conferences, progress meetings, and other job-related discussions.
Review contractor applications for payment and provide recommendations to the project manager based on observed progress and compliance.
Assist in responding to project issues or emergencies in coordination with the project manager.
Support construction managers and project teams by providing accurate, real-time field insights.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety policies and standards.
