About The Position

The purpose of this position is to inspect City infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Inspects construction and maintenance projects, reads related drawings, recommends corrections, ensures compliance with standards and specifications, and tests materials used in projects when appropriate. Receives and responds to concerns or complaints from contractors, engineers, departments, business owners, homeowners, and citizens. Maintains a variety of records related to inspections including as-built drawings, files, forums, and related records, and collects and enters detailed information related to construction in applicable databases. Recommends tools and supplies for project construction, obtains cost estimates, and assists in acquiring budget information and prices. Supplemental Functions: Performs other similar duties as required.
