Construction Inspector (NICET II)
About The Position
NV5 is seeking Construction Inspectors to work on various roadway and bridge infrastructure projects in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. NV5 is a provider of engineering and consulting services to public and private sector clients, delivering solutions through six business verticals: Testing, Inspection & Consulting; Infrastructure; Utility Services; Environmental Health Sciences; Buildings & Program Management; and Geospatial Technology. With offices nationwide and abroad, NV5 helps clients plan, design, build, test, certify, and operate projects that improve the communities where we live and work.
Requirements
- NICET II minimum or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience on similar construction projects.
- Previous NYSDOT experience.
- Diploma or undergraduate degree in Engineering, and/or NICET II certification with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- NICET II certification.
Nice To Haves
- OSHA & ACI certification preferred.
- OSHA and ACI training, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspect construction activities.
- Prepare daily Inspector reports.
- Confirm Contractor quantities.
- Ensure implementation of MPT.
