About The Position

Whitestone Associates, Inc., a 100% employee-owned geotechnical and environmental consulting firm with offices throughout the eastern United States, is hiring a Construction Inspector. The role involves testing construction materials, coordinating inspection and testing results with project managers and subcontractors, transporting samples for laboratory analysis, preparing field data and technical reports, and traveling to construction sites. Requirements

One year of experience in field construction inspection and testing.
Associate degree.
Nuclear Density Gauge Operator certification.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with geotechnical and/or environmental field investigation.
ACI, AASHTO, or ICC certifications.

Responsibilities

Perform field testing of construction materials, including soils, concrete, and steel.
Communicate with project managers and subcontractors about inspection, observation, and testing results.
Transport sample materials for laboratory analysis.
Prepare field data and technical reports.
Travel to various construction sites to perform inspections.
