About The Position

DGI has a current need for a full-time Construction Inspector/Quality Assurance Representative. This role involves reviewing and commenting on contractor submittals, workplans, and RFIs. The inspector will observe contractor performance daily, attend required meetings, and inspect contractor plant, materials, and equipment. Daily review of contractor QC Reports, taking photographic documentation, and reviewing contractor punch lists are also key responsibilities. The job is full-time and based in Arlington, VA, with normal work hours Monday-Friday, anticipating 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Significant experience performing field inspections on the full range of construction activities necessary to construct the project and support necessary contract administration tasks
• More than 15 years of experience as a construction inspector on large complex multimillion dollar DoD or Federal construction projects
• Knowledge and experience with relevant software including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high level of professionalism
• The ability to pass a background check in a timely manner

Nice To Haves

• Experience with USACE's 3-Phase QC/Inspection process
• Experience with EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual
• Experience with the Resident Management System (RMS)

Responsibilities
