About The Position

Due to continued growth, Boswell is seeking additional Inspectors/ Engineers to learn and grow with our Northern NJ Highways Construction Teams. These growth-oriented positions require a combination of Civil Engineering education and experience working in Civil Engineering Construction (preferably a combination of professional Internships and actual construction site experience).

Requirements

• Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree program in civil engineering including coursework in surveying, civil engineering construction, construction materials and procedures, Safety/ OSHA is required.
• Minimum of 3 months of work experience and/ or a professional Internship in highway, road or other civil engineering related construction (asphalt and/ or concrete paving experience is preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspection of various heavy highway, bridge rehabilitation/replacement, paving projects, and drainage projects
• Daily inspection on multiple, complex, large, and/or diverse projects in order to ensure contractor’s operations comply with project plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Complete daily inspection reports
• Prepare as-built drawings and assemble data for Field Engineer to utilize when making changes to the project
• Assist Engineers and Inspectors in compliance, site safety, contract specific requirements, and reporting any deviations
• Assure general compliance with Client/ Authority's standards and specifications
• Combination of both office and field duties
