About The Position

GFL Environmental is looking for a Construction Helper to join the growing team in Port Perry, Ontario! This role involves assisting various operators, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. Requirements

• DZ license is a must
• Able to travel out of town during the week (20-25%)
• Must have reliable vehicle to meet on job sites on occasion
• Must be able to perform manual labour when required
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
• Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Nice To Haves

• Prior construction experience or knowledge of the sewer/construction industry is an asset but not required
• Able to work closely with co-workers as a team

Responsibilities

• Assist Flusher operators, CCTV Operators and Sewer Rehab operators in all required areas
• Clean and maintain equipment and tools
• Ensure Trucks and work areas are clean and orderly
• Comply with and follow company safety policies and procedure
• Setup of safety equipment, traffic signs, harnesses etc.
• Operation of gas detectors for confined space entry
• Ensure all required equipment is available and working effectively
• Utilizing tools and equipment in a safe manner
