About The Position

Direct Communications is seeking a dedicated Construction Crew Foreman to lead their broadband construction efforts in delivering exceptional fiber optic services to rural communities. This role involves leading a crew in the installation, repair, and maintenance of the fiber optic network, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring a safe and productive work environment. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who thrives outdoors and is committed to building the infrastructure that connects communities.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of leading a crew in utility construction.
• Drilling rig experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs routinely.
• Ability to follow prints and maps.
• Basic competency in computer-based environments.
• Willingness to travel throughout our service footprint.
• Steadfast dedication to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Drive daily productivity for the installation, repair, and maintenance of our fiber optic network.
• Foster a respectful and safety-driven environment where every team member feels valued and protected.
• Operate heavy equipment and drilling rigs while ensuring all work meets our high standards of quality and safety.
• Identify and troubleshoot job site challenges, ensuring the project stays on track and the team stays efficient.
• Accurately document progress and materials while serving as a professional face of the company to the community.
