About The Position

Join a general contractor supporting excavation and concrete operations on an Amazon warehouse construction project in Sheboygan, WI. This role provides hands-on field safety support for active site development and concrete construction activities while partnering with project supervision and craft personnel to maintain a safe and productive work environment. The Construction Field Safety Representative will maintain a strong field presence, monitor high-risk construction activities, and help ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification
  • Experience supporting excavation and concrete construction operations
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
  • Working knowledge of Excavation & Trenching Safety
  • Working knowledge of Concrete Construction Operations
  • Working knowledge of Heavy Equipment Safety
  • Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
  • Working knowledge of Soil Classification & Protective Systems
  • Working knowledge of Fall Protection
  • Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Development
  • Working knowledge of Safety Audits & Field Inspections
  • Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
  • Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
  • Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation

  • Amazon or large distribution center construction experience
  • Competent Person - Excavation & Trenching
  • Heavy civil or site development experience
  • CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily field safety support for excavation and concrete operations
  • Maintain a visible field presence alongside craft personnel and project supervision
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, field observations, and hazard assessments
  • Monitor excavation, trenching, concrete placement, and reinforcing activities
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
  • Support excavation protective systems, access/egress, and spoil pile management
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Monitor heavy equipment operations and material handling activities
  • Communicate safety concerns and corrective actions to project leadership
  • Maintain safety documentation, inspections, and compliance records
  • Promote safe work practices through coaching and employee engagement
  • Help foster a proactive safety culture throughout the project

Benefits

  • $45/hr
  • $125/Day Per Diem (7 Days Per Week for Non-Local Candidates)
  • $150/month Completion Bonus
