About The Position

We are seeking Construction Field Inspectors at Junior, Mid, and Senior levels to join our team. The role involves conducting thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications. Inspectors will examine mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural systems, identify deviations from plans, and recommend corrective actions. This position requires monitoring construction activities for quality assurance, reviewing blueprints, and performing material/equipment tests. Responsibilities also include preparing detailed reports, maintaining accurate records, and communicating effectively with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders. The role involves collaborating with project teams to resolve issues, providing technical support, and participating in project meetings.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of construction codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience (for Jr. level).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience (for Mid Level).
  • 15+ years of relevant experience (for Sr. Level).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Maryland is preferred.
  • Certifications (e.g., ICC, NICET) are highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural or Geotechnical or Environmental or Electrical or Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Inspect mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural systems to verify proper installation and functionality.
  • Identify and document any deviations from approved plans and specifications and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Perform tests and inspections on materials and equipment to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and other relevant documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding inspection results and project status.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve construction issues and ensure timely project completion.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to contractors and construction personnel.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on construction methods, materials, and schedules.
