The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is seeking to hire a Construction Field Inspector for its Asset & Capital Management (A&CM) Division. This division manages the Authority's capital, sustainability, and resiliency programs, overseeing a large capital projects portfolio and property modernization efforts. The Capital Programs Department, within A&CM, is responsible for the end-to-end management of over 500 active modernization projects across the city. These projects are crucial for ensuring effective building performance and good living conditions for residents, encompassing modernization of building systems, interiors, exteriors, apartments, and grounds. Current programs focus on areas such as heating systems, elevators, roofs, brick facades, CCTV, access controls, entryways, flood protection, resiliency, community centers, lighting, and playgrounds. Projects vary in delivery methods and budgets, ranging from $100,000 to $100 million. The Construction Field Inspector will report to the Construction Field Supervisor and work in coordination with project teams to perform construction inspection work, monitoring contractors and vendors on new construction, rehabilitation, repairs, alterations, and structural maintenance projects.
