WSP is seeking a Construction Field Engineer for its Milwaukee, WI office. This role involves working on projects with the Wisconsin Construction Services Team, contributing to a growing organization that meets client objectives and solves challenges. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
Minimum of 1-3 years of relative experience.
Good verbal and written communication skills to include technical writing and oral communication.
Ability to work as a team is essential.
Ability to work in this country immediately required.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Nice To Haves

WisDOT, County and Local Municipality policies and procedures preferred but not required.
Hold WisDOT certifications in PCC, Aggregate, and Grading Technician preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Ensuring daily contract compliance to project plans and specifications on construction projects.
Maintaining documentation to support quality specifications, payment, and project acceptance.
Reading, understanding, and interpreting project plans and contract documents.
Identifying possible issues in contract documents and proposing solutions or referring them to the Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Coordinator.
Acting as a liaison to monitor communication and exchange of information between the project manager, engineering team, management, contractors, and vendors.
Coordinating all internal and external communication relative to the project.
Assisting in the review of the contractor’s project schedule and estimating resource and material requirements.
Maintaining respective planning and scheduling updates throughout the project life cycle.
Working closely with project administrators and project managers to prepare reports detailing project costs, progress, risks, and opportunities for review by senior management.
