WSP is seeking a Construction Field Engineer for its Milwaukee, WI office. This role involves working on projects with the Wisconsin Construction Services Team, contributing to a growing organization that meets client objectives and solves challenges. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relative experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to include technical writing and oral communication.
  • Ability to work as a team is essential.
  • Ability to work in this country immediately required.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Nice To Haves

  • WisDOT, County and Local Municipality policies and procedures preferred but not required.
  • Hold WisDOT certifications in PCC, Aggregate, and Grading Technician preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring daily contract compliance to project plans and specifications on construction projects.
  • Maintaining documentation to support quality specifications, payment, and project acceptance.
  • Reading, understanding, and interpreting project plans and contract documents.
  • Identifying possible issues in contract documents and proposing solutions or referring them to the Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Coordinator.
  • Acting as a liaison to monitor communication and exchange of information between the project manager, engineering team, management, contractors, and vendors.
  • Coordinating all internal and external communication relative to the project.
  • Assisting in the review of the contractor’s project schedule and estimating resource and material requirements.
  • Maintaining respective planning and scheduling updates throughout the project life cycle.
  • Working closely with project administrators and project managers to prepare reports detailing project costs, progress, risks, and opportunities for review by senior management.
