The Construction Field Engineer supports construction projects through administrative coordination and field engagement. Administrative work includes uploading documents to software, updating schedules, reviewing documentation, and compiling and assembling systems manuals. Field activities include conducting walkdowns and providing training on systems and equipment. The role involves reviewing 2D drawings and system packages; preparing daily reports on manpower and project activities; overseeing trade inspections of equipment; coordinating meetings, alignments, field walks, and safety activities; and tracking equipment and manpower move-in and move-out schedules. The engineer works closely with contractors’ superintendents, vendors, and trades across multiple disciplines to resolve trade conflicts, address logistical challenges, and ensure the superintendent has plans and supplies for upcoming work. Other duties include taking meeting minutes and completing permits as needed. The position requires semiconductor experience, the ability to read one-line diagrams and system drawings, and adherence to established procedures and safety precautions. Candidates should demonstrate sound judgment, initiative, meticulousness, mechanical aptitude, and effective teamwork and communication. The position also requires passing a 10-panel drug screening and background check; local candidates only. The work includes frequent standing, sitting, hand and finger use, and talking or hearing, as well as continual walking of up to 10 miles per day. Occasional activities include climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, working near moving mechanical parts, and working around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals. The employee may occasionally lift or move more than 20 pounds. The work environment is usually moderately noisy. Chemical hazards are primarily managed through engineering controls, though incidental spills may require cleanup evaluation and use of a respirator and other PPE. Employees must be able to wear protective eyewear, a hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection, and safely traverse indoor and outdoor site obstacles, including ladders, stairs, catwalks, and uneven surfaces. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Duties and responsibilities may be assigned or changed by management.
