About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Construction Field Engineer / Construction Inspector to support a large infrastructure construction project. This role is responsible for overseeing field construction activities, documenting project progress, ensuring quality standards are met, and verifying that work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable industry standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant construction experience.
Minimum of 10 years of field construction experience.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, inspection procedures, quality assurance, and construction documentation.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard construction software applications.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting large civil, structural, industrial, or infrastructure construction projects.
Familiarity with CAD software and other construction-related computer applications.
Experience coordinating with multiple contractors and project stakeholders.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment while maintaining accurate project documentation.

Responsibilities

Monitor and document daily construction activities and project progress.
Perform field inspections to verify construction complies with approved plans, specifications, codes, and quality standards.
Witness and document required testing and inspections.
Review construction drawings and specifications to ensure work is performed in accordance with the latest revisions.
Coordinate with project management, contractors, and engineering teams to resolve technical field issues.
Develop and monitor construction schedules within the assigned discipline.
Track material deliveries and verify materials meet project specifications and quality requirements.
Maintain project documentation, including daily field reports, deficiency logs, punch lists, and project records.
Support project closeout by organizing and compiling construction documentation.
Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with project safety requirements.
Interface with project stakeholders, contractors, and project leadership as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
